Sixteen players, among them three from AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan’s roster, were announced today as members of Italy’s squad for its two next matches in the final qualification round of the FIBA World Cup. The National Team will host Lithuania on November 29th and face Poland at Gdansk on December 2nd, while Milan will play in Lithuania with Zalgiris Kaunas on 29th of November. Apparently, Milan’s Christian Burns, Andrea Cinciarini and Simone Fontecchio will only play in Italy’s second match.

The other big story on Azzurri’s 16-man roster is the return of Alessandro Gentile. Movistar Estudiantes’ guard forward will wear Italy’s jersey for the first time since Day 4 of the World Cup’s previous qualification round.

Awudu Abass, Pietro Aradori, Paul Biligha, Ariel Filloy, Diego Flaccadori, Achille Polonara, Giampaolo Ricci, Brian Sacchetti, Amedeo Tessitori, Stefano Tonut, Luca Vitali and Michele Vitali round up the squad. Leonardo Candi, Francesco Candussi, Raphael Gaspardo, Riccardo Moraschini, Davide Pascolo and Andrea Pecchia aren’t in the list, but will also be available for the practices ahead of the two matches.
