Israel got a 83-74 win in an exciting FIBA World Cup Qualifier match against Serbia. Tamir Blatt was clutch defensively and offensively down the stretch of the European Zone Round 9 game. His instrumental play propelled the Israelis to 4-5 and dropped the Serbs to 5-4.
The 21-year-old point guard, David Blatt’s son, was outstanding. He reached the 10-point mark sinking a decisive three-pointer that broke the game’s last tie, but that wasn’t it. He also dished nine assists and posted an unbelievable total of seven steals!
Guy Pnini was Oded Kattash’s top scorer with 18 points. Jake Cohen added 14 and Yovel Zoosman had 10. Dragan Milosavljevic scored 17 points for the visitors, Marko Simonovic followed with 13 and Miroslav Raduljica notched 12.
