Nicolas Batum, one of France’s pillars in this FIBA World Cup, talked to the press in Lyon about the new generation of players and what the team has to show before heading to China.
“There is a new generation, it’s a different team than those of the past years but full of talented players, we are working hard to create a team to be ready for the World Cup”, he mentioned.
Bronze medalist in Spain’s World Cup 2014 France has a few more games before heading to China. The tournament in Villeurbanne (August 15-16) will be a great test for Les Bleus, where they will face Montenegro and Brazil.
“We’re going to play three prep games against some tough teams in Lyon and it’s going to be very interesting to validate our work since the start of the preparation”, added Batum.
