Vitor Benite put on a near-perfect game and led Brazil to an 89-82 win over Argentina in a prep game for the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
Benite scored 15 points on 6-7 shooting (2-2 triples) while Leandro Barbosa followed with 14 and Marcelo Huertas with 12 points. Anderson Varejao logged a double-double with ten points and 12 boards.
For Argentina, Nicolas Laprovittola scored 18 while dishing eight assists and grabbing six rebounds. Luis Scola and Gabriel Deck added 17 points each.
Argentina managed to recover from the halftime deficit (51-45) and hold the minimum advantage at the end of the third quarter (69-68). However, at 74-74 and five minutes left, Brazil made an 11-3 run and held on until the end.
