France will not feature Adrien Moerman in the 2019 FIBA World Cup, the French Basketball Federation announced on Saturday. The 31-year-old forward missed Friday’s friendly match versus Brazil and will no longer be considered for the trip to China due to Achilles tendon pain, injury he’s been facing the past years.
Andrew Albicy, Nicolas Batum, Nando De Colo, Evan Fournier, Rudy Gobert, Louis Labeyrie, Paul Lacombe, Mathias Lessort, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Amath M’Baye, Frank Ntilikina, Elie Okobo, Vincent Poirier and Axel Toupane are the 14 remaining available players for the upcoming exhibition games.
Only 12 players will ultimately gain a spot in Vincent Collet’s final World Cup squad. They will represent France against Germany, Jordan and the Dominican Republic at Shenzhen, China, in first round action.
