Vitor Benite and Anderson Varejao put on strong performances and gave Brazil an 80-69 win against Montenegro.
Varejao logged a double-double with 18 points (8-10 FG) and 16 rebounds while Benite banked game-high 21 points (4-5 triples). Alex Garcia added 13 points.
For Montenegro, Milko Bjelica scored 15 points followed by Petar Popovic’s and Nemanja Radovic’s ten points each.
Brazil created the crucial advantage in the first quarter (25-12), stayed ahead at halftime 46-32 and kept the distance until the very end.
