Giannis Athinaiou suffered an ACL injury a few seconds in the game vs. Serbia on Sunday and Greek NT head coach Thanasis Skourtopoulos decided to bring back Vangelis Mantzaris.
Mantzaris is set to join the rest of the squad on Wednesday before the Greek selection goes off to China.
Meanwhile, coach Skourtopoulos decided to cut Dinos Mitoglou from the roster, that leaves Greece with its final 12-man squad for FIBA World Cup 2019.
Kostas Sloukas, who also suffered an injury during preparation, will stay in Athens for a little longer, while his condition will be re-evaluated this Tuesday.
