Montenegro clashed with Iran in Yangzhou, China and recorded an 89-77 win as the squads continue their preparations for the World Cup.
Nikola Vucevic led the victors with 17 points followed by Marko Todorovic’s 13 in addition to Suad Sehovic’s 12 points. Bojan Dubljevic added 11 as well Nikola Ivanovic while Nemanja Radovic helped with ten points.
It was a balanced first quarter with Montenegro slightly ahead (27-24) but soon improved the lead to 35-24 and eventually the max 56-37 lead from which Iran couldn’t recover.
Montenegro will compete in Group F against Greece, New Zealand and Brazil for one of the two spots who lead in the second phase of the upcoming FIBA Word Cup.
