Italy will face France in a prep game tomorrow, the duo of Gigi Datome and Danilo Gallinari returned to action against Serbia, and they hope that they can make a difference.
As Datome said: “I’m thrilled to be back on the court. The road has been a long one, and I am thankful to our physical trainer Matteo Panichi and all the medical staff. I hope to improve more and be more useful to the team. You can never be satisfied with a defeat, but yesterday against Serbia I saw good spirits, and I liked the fact that in moments of difficulty the team reacted. We must continue to play head-on against all opponents. Even those who, like Serbia, are of a higher level than ours ”.
Danilo Gallinari added: “I feel good today and I felt good yesterday. It was a while since I started playing and I missed the game. I had good feelings both on a personal and team level. Yesterday we took a step forward compared to the latest games. Serbia is a strong team and keeping up with them, point by point until the final seconds was one of our goals. Now all that remains is to continue working to be in the best possible condition for the World Championship ”.
