Nigeria trailed 44-36 at halftime against Montenegro but turned the game around in the second half and grabbed an 89-86 win.
Jordan Nwora led the way with 19 points followed by Ike Iroegbu with 18. Ike Diogu added 13 and Ekpe Udoh 11 points.
For Montenegro, Bojan Dubljevic banked game-high 20 points while Nikola Vucevic scored 15. Sead Sehovic and Aleksa Popovic added 12 points each.
Montenegro’s Nikola Ivanovic suffered an ankle injury and didn’t play in the second half but according to Vijesti, the injury isn’t serious and the player should recover in the next couple of days.
