Head coach Alexander Nwora picked out the 12 players for Nigeria’s World Cup squad. Al-Farouq Aminu, Ike Diogu, Michael Eric, Josh Okogie, Ike Iroegbu, Chimezie Metu, Vincent Nnamdi, Jordan Nwora, Stan Okoye, Zanna Talib, Ekpe Udoh and Ben Uzoh made the cut.

The African national team will play at Wuhan in the first round of the 2019 FIBA World Cup. First opponent will be Russia on August 31st, games against Argentina on September 2nd and South Korea on September 4th will follow.
