World Cup Day 1 Recap: The day of the blowouts

46, 46, 39, 26. These were the margins in four out of the eight games that took place in Day 1 of the FIBA World Cup, Friday (31/8).

Serbia launched the tournament by making a display of strength over Angola. Italy took the torch from the “Orlovi” against the Philippines while Argentina and Spain showed their superior quality vs. South Korea and Tunisia respectively.

There was much excitement in store as well, with Puerto Rico coming back from an 17-point deficit to beat Iran in the last minute.
