Nick Nurse is set to meet Lithuania’s national team in Tuesday’s World Cup contest as Canada’s head coach and talked about Lithuanian Sarunas Jasikevicius’ coaching abilities. He interviewed him last summer for the Toronto Raptors looking to add him in his coaching staff. Nurse remembered getting to know Saras, reporter Donatas Urbonas relays.
“I had a dozen calls with him” mentioned the 52-year-old American coach on Jasikevicius. “I watched his team’s play and I liked what I saw. He is obviously up-and-coming or “already here” coach.”
Canada dropped the Group H opener to Australia, but Lithuania comfortably took care of business versus Senegal. The two sides will collide tomorrow in a crucial match at Dongguan, China.
