Turkey faces the USA on Tuesday (15:30 CET), Group E’s most interesting pairing and Scottie Wilbekin will be cleared to play after his injury.
“I have a little pain, but I’m getting better every day. I trained with the team today. They played a very good first game. The USA is the best team in the tournament. They have special abilities on the offensive end. They are doing great work on defense too. They do everything they want. We have to play a good game. It’s a little weird to play against the USA, but I’m a Turk now”, the American-born naturalized Turkish guard commented.
Wilbekin missed the World Cup opener, as Turkey downed Japan on Sunday.
