Iran got its first win in the 2019 FIBA World Cup by beating Angola in the game that opened Group N of the classification round for spots 17 to 32.
Mohammadsamad Nik Khahbahrami paced Iran with 21 points while Aaron Geramipoor added 11 points and seven rebounds. Hamed Haddadi posted nine points and five boards.
Carlos Morais scored 17 points and Jose Antonio with Valdelicio Joaquim dropped 10 points apiece for Angola.
The two teams are currently tied 1-3 since Angola has carried a win from the first round in the classification games stage.
