World Cup Day 8 Recap: France and Australia get quarterfinals tickets

Two more spots left in FIBA World Cup quarterfinals and both will be decided in Group K

Australia managed to overcome a tough Dominican Republic squad while France held off Lithuania’s comeback as both squads secured a quarterfinals spot and will clash each other for the first spot in Group L.

The situation in Group K is far more complicated as all teams still have a shot to advance. Although Team USA got the win over Greece and stayed undefeated, they still aren’t in the clear mathematically.

A 22-point loss against Brazil would get them eliminated if the Czech Republic prevails over Greece. Greece has a shot in case they beat the Czech Republic by a 12-point margin and the USA gets the win over Brazil.
