A tweet from the other side of the Atlantic created much ado about nothing. According to American journalist Chris Vernon the Grizzlies were about to sign former NBA player and Anadolu Efes‘ star Sasha Vujacic. However, this is not the case.
Eurohoops contacted Anadolu Efes‘ GM Engin Ozerhun, he was surprised by the report and stated: “Nobody has called us from the NBA, we have no plan to release him. This report is completely wrong and also the player hasn’t told us anything about it”. The Slovenian guard had an opt out option from Efes last summer, but he didn’t use it.
