Olympiacos had decided even before the game against Maccabi to appeal the ruling of Euroleague’s independent judge for the Top16 game against Siena and the Reds have a deadline of ten days to file their appeal with their new legal arguments

Even after the dismissal of Olympiacos protest for the result of its home game against Siena, the Reds are not giving up. As the team’s owner and president Panagiotis Aggelopoulos implied Olympiacos is going to appeal the decision of Euroleague’s independent judge and the appeal judge – a different person – will have to take the final decision.

According to the competition’s rules the Greeks have a ten days’ deadline after the ruling in order to file their appeal and their layers are reworking on their legal arguments. Still, in Piraeus the discontent is obvious, because as the independent judge admitted it was “unnecessary to consider the other submissions filed by the parties”, because he decided that the “ the score registered on the score sheet is not abnormal”.
