Βeing a former member of LA Lakers adds an extra value in your resume, at least in Europe. Ten former players of the legendary NBA team have sign this season to European clubs with three of them being former NBA champions

During the years we have witnessed way too many cases of players who decided to leave the NBA for Europe. And we had the pleasure to watch many elite players fighting in European championships for European trophies. But you know what? This season is a unique one. And why is that? Keep reading to find it out

We have few names for you. Are you ready to keep notes? Nice. Let’s start then.

  • Jason Kapono plays for Panathinaikos, in Greece.
  • Josh Powell is Olympiacos‘ player -also in Greece plus we are talking about the Euroleague champion.
  • Sasha Vujasic is playing for Anadolu Efes, in Turkey, where you can also find Jordan Farmar (photo).
  • Smush Parker signed with Cibona, in December 2012 and though but he was released after 5 games, he signed with a European team, right?
  • Devin Green was until recently a resident of Bulgaria, since he was a player of Lukoil Academic
  • Derrick Caracter signed with Bnei Hasharon, in Israel, late in 2012 and he is a teammate with Jumaine Jones.
  • Tray Johnson is on Angelico Biella’s roster, in Italy.
  • Darius Johson Odom signed on Thursday with Spartak St.Petersburg and with him, you have ten players – in case you lost count.

Now, we have a quizz for you: which is the common thing they all share? And yes, we know there are more NBAers who are playing currently in Europe. If you answer to our quizz, though, you will realize we have a good reason to mention only these 10 players.

They all played (from one game -in Tray Johnson’s case- to getting the precious ring -like Josh Powell, Sasha Vujasic, Jordan Farmar) for the LA Lakers!
