The season begun with great expectations, but ended on a sad note, with Efes getting eliminated from the second round by Banvit. Now everything is open regarding next season, but Efes is a big organization and is no rush to take decisions.
Therefore next week, all members of the board will gather in Istanbul in order to make their planning for the upcoming year. Oktay Mahmuti has another year of contract, but even he knows that his work was not successful. If you add, that his relationship with Efes, crosses the strict limits of professionalism, it is understandable that a solution will be found, if he has to step down.
If that happens and the management decides to spend big money for his replacer, then both Dusan Ivkovic and Zelimir Obradovic will be contacted. Duda has an excellent relationship with Efes’ management and at this moment has not agreed with any club. Regarding Obradovic last season there was also a contact with him, but it did not result into an agreement.
Roster wise, Vujacic tenure is over as his contract is concluded, but even Farmar who has a deal for next season, is not a 100% certain that he will remain. All these maters will be taken under consideration next week and decision will be made accordingly, with the head coach matter being the basic priority.
