This Wednesday could have been the day that Dusan Ivkovic and Fenerbahce Ulker decided finally to cooperate. However, after their last contacts on Tuesday both sides decided to prolong their talks, since they would like to have a deal but some of Duda’s conditions still haven’t been met.
Duda still is the big target of the team, there is already a blueprint for next year and Zeljko Obradovic is out of the picture. During the summer of 2012, Fener offered him the incredible sum of 10 million euros to make him sign a three years deal. Obradovic stood up to his decision to stay out of basketball for one season after leaving Panathinaikos, he thanked Fenerbahce Ulker and he passed the offer.
One year later, Fenerbahce Ulker asked again from Zoc to be their head coach, but this time, the offer was different. Our sources from Istanbul insist that the Τurkish team was willing to pay him around 2 million euros per season for a three years’ deal and Obradovic stated that they know how much money he wants, so if they had the desire to pay him, he would be glad to sign the contract.
The same compensation is offered annually to Dusan Ivkovic, with whom the team talked for the first time right after Pianigiani was out of the club. Of course, there is also a plan b and even a plan C. Former Laboral Kutxa coach Jan Tabak is an alternative and also his predecessor in Vitoria, Dusko Ivanovic has been reached.
