He is 37 years old. So what? Sarunas Jasikevicius plays like a teenager, acts like a teenager and has the same passion since the moment he started to play basketball, younger than teenager. Barcelona didn’t renew the contract of the Lithuanian legend but he feels that he has still fuel in his tank.
He is a proud father but he spends a lot of his time during the summer in OAKA doing individual work outs to keep himself in good shape; sometimes with his good friend Dimitris Diamantidis. He would be grateful if he had the chance to sign once again with Panathinaikos but he has nothing in his hands from the Greens.
Maccabi Tel Aviv offered a couple of weeks ago a contract to Saras but the amount of money (around 300.000 dollars) didn’t satisfy him. So, he decided not to come back third time in one of his ex-teams (after Panathinaikos and Barcelona). Jasikevicius still hopes that he will receive during this month a good offer from a big club. Otherwise he will start thinking about his retirement, unless he gets a chance during next season. Time will tell if there is still room for him in the highest Euroleague level.
