Sergio Scariolo was looking for a player to fill the shoes of Drew Nicholas in the back court and found him in the face of Tre Simmons. After a succsfull two-year career in the Czech CEZ Nymburk the American has agreed to join Milan and help them win the Italian championship.
He followed throughout the process: released by CEZ Nymburk, signed his new contract, left for Milan and started training without taking part in the match against Cantu. But meanwhile, Milan’s point guard JR Bremer got injured and coach Scariolo changed his plans. He didn’t want any more a player like Simmons, but a pure play maker.
And what did he do? He asked the board to release Simmons and search again for a player. His desire was satisfied. So, a week after his arrival in Italy, Simmons took the plane again and returned to CEZ Nymburk, where he will end the season. For all this… adventure Emporio Milan paid him $15.000 as compensation. His easiest $15.000 in his life…
