Antic versus Bartzokas

It was a strange Sunday morning in Greece, as Pero Antic on his way from Los Angeles to Utah called out his former Olympiacos coach Giorgos Bartzokas via twitter. As he wrote: “Olimpiakos is not Bardzokas or Antic!! This club is history!!! I gave 1000% for it but I didn’t sign with any team before the season end!!!!! But someone sign with FB Ulker before the Finals!!! So u find out who love OLIMPIAKOS and who use IT to take more money!!!!! Duda Ivkovic Left the team on Auto Pilot and we won EUROLEAGUE again, thats the TRUTH!!!!! I stand behind every word I say!!!! TRYLOS 4 EVER”.

A little bit later he explained his motives: “I dont want to make any more problems to the team that I love with my TWEETS!!I just fell it and think that what we built and make in the last two years is about to be broken!!The Agelopulos Family invest a lot, the fans did it,Spanulis,Prindezis,Perperoglu and all the guys!! Im just an ex player, crazy fan and I say what I feel!!!Olympiakos was everything for us in the past two years and it will continue the same way!!! Thats why I say this now!! Because I want to see Olympiakos lift the third Euroleague Title in Milano!!!”.

The timing seems a bit odd, however Olympiacos is still fighting for a play offs spot in Euroleague and Antic just had a good game in the one point road defeat of the Hawks at Los Angeles by the Clippers as the starting center with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Bartzokas decided to downplayed the whole issue and stated during the Greek All Star Game: “I respect Pero Antic as a player. He said different things two weeks ago (ed.note: in a OTETV interview), now he says this, but you know Pero”.
