After one season in CSKA Moscow Jonas Kazlauskas has to continue elsewhere his career. As it was expected, the team didn’t pick its option to renew his contract, because Kazlauskas is getting a big part of the blame for the failure of CSKA in Euroleague’s final against Olympiacos.
The Lithuanian coach, however, will not have to travel far very far from Moscow in order to get a new gig. As Eurohoops.net learned from Russian sources Kazlauskas had already a very long talk with Unics Kazan. The team that reached the Euroleague play offs is searching for a coach after the decision of Eugeny Pashutin to continue his career in Lokomotiv Kuban and Kazlauskas may end up replacing him in Kazan.
There is also a small chance, though, for Kazlauskas to return in CSKA, if the team can’t find a new coach with a flashier resume, but at this point seems a really small chance.
