Coach Marco Crespi’s tenure in Laboral Kutxa ended prematurely, however he is still one of the most interesting figures in the European coaching scene. And he proves it with a book, or as he prefers to call it a “novel”.
“#Somethingdifferent” was the hashtag he was using last season on twitter when speaking about Siena. Crespi’s experience in what ended to be the end of an era for a modern Italian basketball dynasty is chronicled in his book with the same title. The book is published in Italian, but let’s hope that fans’ interest around Europe may help it became a European bestseller, translated in more languages. After all, for the first time a European coach writes a book in which he describes what happened in a season with a special significance.
