The first sold out of the season in a Euroleague game of Olympiacos happened in the last game of the regular season against Crvena Zvezda in a remake of the celebration day one month ago in Belgrade.
The hosts welcomed the players of Crvena Zvezda for their warm up with the anthem of their team being heard. Olympiacos’ fans occupied every seat in SEF and prepared a huge “coreo” in red, white and blue colors (video). Next to the bench of Olympiacos and among the Ultras of the hosts there was a huge photo of Marko Ivkovic who was killed in Istanbul.
Also, almost one hour before the start of the game, the fans started signing in Greek and Serbian showing their friendship. Of course among the Greek fans there were many Serbians who traveled from Belgrade to live this unique experience in Piraeus.
Moreover, Olympiacos prepared one more happening. All the players of the hosts and the visitors singed a ball and threw it to the fans. There was also a banner with a message against Turkey and one against Panathinaikos because some Green fans weren’t quiet during the moment of silence for Marko Ivkovic at OAKA.
Τhe gift for Marko
Before the tip off the players of Olympiacos gave to Luka Mitrovic an official jersey of their team with the name of Marko Ivkovic at its back and all their signatures on it. The Serbian player got excited and promised that he will give this present to the family of Marko.
