Marcus Slaughter has lost his role in Real Madrid, had advanced negotations with Maccabi Tel Aviv in order to win Spain, however until the end of this season he can’t wear any other jersey in Euroleague than that of his current team. Despite rumors in Greek media about Panathinaikos‘ interest for the player which appeared on the last day of 2014, Slaughter has been registered from the 29th of December in Real Madrid‘s roster.
After this move by Real, the American forward/center can’t play until the end of this season with an other Euroleague club. Despite the fact that teams can make their last additions before the 8th gameday of Top16, no player who has been registered in the second phase of the competition can jump to an other club. Slaughter after all traveled to Belgrade and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
