An incredible incident happened in Madrid with Argentinian guard Facundo Campazzo making a wrestling move against Dimitris Diamantidis of Panathinaikos. After the end of the game the captain of Real Madrid, Felipe Reyes admitted: “We knew that Facundo was strong, but we didn’t expect him to lift Diamantidis”. See the move of Campazzo, which will not make him a favorite for any kind of a fairplay award.
UPDATE: The Argentinian guard via twitter one day after the incident apologized for what happened: “I am happy about yesterday’s win, but not by the way the game ended. I want to apologize because I am an athlete and my action against Diamantidis, despite the tension of the game, wasn’t good. I want to apologize to my teammates, the fans and Diamantidis”.
