The woes of Galatasaray continue in every level. As “3puan.com” revealed coach Ergin Ataman reprimanded and slapped Gokturk Ural in the locker room after the loss to NSK Eskisehir Basket for TBL.
Today Ataman talked with the newspaper “Hurriyet” about the situation. While he admits that he slapped Ural, he said that he did it just for warning and not in a hard way. However he lashed out about the story getting out. As he said: “Locker room should be our bedroom.”
He also added about the situation: “I slapped him because he was not serious and it was just for a warning. He should be more determined and realise the value of Galatasaray jersey. He can delate about this event to anywhere he wants. I am comfortable with this situation. If I react to my players and make physical intervention to them during the game like some of the coaches, I would humiliate my players. But the locker room is our bedroom, a confidential area. The managers are pushing young players into these acts.”
Meanwhile Gokturk Ural and his father went to TBF and gave their bill of complaint in this morning. He is already released by the team together with Aleks Maric.
