Eurohoops.net obtained a copy of the agreement between Panionios and the American point guard who has put his signature on it! His agent, though, insists that his client hasn’t signed anything with the Greek team

Eurohoops.net has written since 29th of May that Zach Wright has signed a contract with Panionios and he could only leave for a Euroleague team, giving a small “buy out”.

On the same time we had explained that since he changed his agent and from Bill Mc Candless he went to Scott Nichols, he tried to find a better agreement than the one he had with the team of Nea Smyrni. Now eurohoops.net has obtained a copy of this agreement and presents it to you exclusively!

In the seven paged contract (in which every page has a signature of Wright) there are all the details between the one year deal of the two sides. In the last page (which you can see in the scanned document) there are mentioned two situations that the player can leave Panionios. The first one is if he brings a guaranteed contract from an NBA team.

The second one says that… “in the case that the player will receive an offer from a Euroleague, Eurocup or Eurochallenge team until 15 of July 2012, he can be free from Panionios club upon the payment of a $20.000 buy-out”.
On the other side, Scott Nichols argued that the contract was never signed by Wright and if it was its by the club or greek agent. On the same time, he clarified that the contract with Spartak Saint Petersburg was signed on the 11th of July, therefore it was “inside” the deadline of the 15th of July.

It remains to be seen, how this dispute between the two sides will end.
