Singleton back to China

Quality of basketball in Chinese league still is not comparable to that of the top European leagues, but on the other hand there is also a significant difference in the salaries of the American players. One who has already experienced this… positive difference is James Singleton who has agreed to terms on a two year deal with a Chinese team. Still the name of the team has not been revealed, but what is known is that he will… pocket 3,2 million dollars for the next two years!

The experience forward-center rejected the offer of a minimum contract from the Washington Wizards and also he didn’t think of playing in Greece, as he had been offered both to Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. According to sources coach Argiris Pedoulakis was considering him, but of course the Greens (like any other European team), could not match the offer from the Chinese team.

Singleton played from 2010 to 2012 in CBA with Xinjiang Flying Tigers and Guangdong Southern Tigers and last season in 12 games with the Wizards he averaged 8,8 points and 6,8 rebounds.
