How many teams in Europe had the chance to keep all their American players for two straight years? Sure not so many. With Joey Dorsey’s extension with Olympiacos, the Reds are the last of these few… cases

Olympiacos announced that Joey Dorsey extented his contract, for two more years and in this way the Reds became… record men: they are one of very few cases in Europe who kept all 3 US players, for second straight season and this is something they had to live at least 10 years!

European Champions kept their core to the maximum and by that we don’t mean just the Greek players, but 11 of last year’s roster (something they did last time in 1994). Kyle Hines, Acie Law and Dorsey will keep playing for Olympiacos and if you see… the big picture, you will realize the only foreign player who won’t be at Piraeus is Marko Keselj.

Now, let’s get back to Dorsey, who waited for almost 5 weeks the NBA market to… move for him, but he didn’t find what he was looking for. While he was waiting for the NBA teams, he missed the chance to play for Galatasaray. The Turkish team gave him an offer, but after they understood Dorsey needed more time to decide what he will do, they got Milan Macvan and now they are ready to sign Boni N’ Dong (our sources say Galatasaray will announce him on Monday). After this development, it was about time for Dorsey to accept Olympiacos‘ offer (for an amount of money, close to 600.000 $). The Reds have the option to extend his contract for one more season, next summer.
