Crvena Zvezda will host Panathinaikos on Thursday in the crucial for the Greens game in Hala Pionir and not in Kombank Arena. Pionir is considered a hard gym to play as a visitor, but the reason for this relocation is financial.
The attendance in Zvezda’s Euroleague contests dropped from the moment the games became irrelevant for the play offs qualification. In the last game against Barcelona almost half the gym was empty, the rent of 20.000 seats Kombank Arena is expensive and Pionir (8.000 seats) is a much more suitable choice.
