The transfer of Brooklyn Nets draftee Ilkan Karaman from Pinar Karsiyaka to Fenerbahce Ulker was officially announced on Friday. Not so fast, said Galatasaray and informed everybody via a press release about the contract of Karaman with the team from 2010 till 2016.
The reaction from the player and Fener was the quotes of Karaman himself, saying that he wants to play for Fenerbahce (and not for Galatasaray). So, what will happen next? According to Eurohoops.net sources from Turkey Fenerbahce is ready to pay Galatasaray the sum of 200.000 US dollars in order to buy out Karaman’ s contract, something that is expected to be done in the following days.
