Panathinaikos is expecting to add Guo Ailun in its Euroleague roster, but Liaoning, the team of the player owned by Chinese State, is still waiting for a call. According to this report from sports.163.com Liaoning doesn’t have any kind of contact with the Greek team.
However, that’s not the case, according to Eurohoops.net sources. There is not deal yet between PAO and Liaoning, but the Greeks are working on it. The Chinese side seems to be secretive about the situation and there are many reasons for that. For example Guo Ailun is paid less than 20.000 US dollars per season in China, he will get a better contract by Panathinaikos and his Chinese team doesn’t want him to have an argument for a raise, if the deal falls apart.
