After missing the Euroleague Final Four, tension is still high in Maccabi Tel Aviv and that was obvious in the israeli league defeat by Galil Gilboa (89-72). Maccabi is still on top of the standings (23-5) over Hapoel Jerusalem (21-7), however Sofoklis Shortsanitis was disqualified for what happened during the game and you can see it on this video.
The Greek center has already been punished with a 3.000 US dollars fine and on the 30th of April he will be presented before the judge of the league. It remains to be seen if Sofo will be also punished with a ban from upcoming games.
