PAOK Thessaloniki reacted to the report about Adam Smith saying that he’s leaving the club due to “delayed payments and breach of contract” by releasing an announcement, denying the existence of any debt to the player.
“In regards to the Adam Smith case and his inexcusable absence from practices and team events, PAOK makes clear that the player is paid and there’s no debt to him at the moment,” PAOK says. “The rest that Adam Smith seems to claim are ostensible, in an unsuccessful effort to explain his inexcusable absence.”
PAOK also mentions that the club has informed FIBA about “the player’s behavior and his inexcusable absence.” The Greek club says that they will make take legal proceedings to “ensure our interest in every legitimate way.”
