Τhe decision taken by the Greek League teams to recommend the cancellation of the season has caused the reaction of the Greek Players Union as well as the Greek Coaches Union.
While the intention of the Players Union remains for the season to continue, in a letter sent to the Greek League Board Wednesday, they suggested either to resume action or athletes to receive 80% of their salaries if it is impossible for action to resume. The union also proposed to hold a teleconference between all stakeholders to reach a decision that would satisfy all parts.
What is more, according to Eurohoops sources, members of the players union have expressed their discontent in regards to the Greek League’s stance, stating that their views were not discussed at all on Monday’s teleconference where the cancellation of the season was decided.
