Alpha Diallo with 21 points, Glenn Cosey 18, and Vassilis Mouratos who scored 17 shocked Panathinaikos and led Lavrio the 92-82 win over the Greens. Nemanja Nedovic and Ioannis Papapetrou with 19 points each couldn’t save the day, as Panathinaikos dropped to a 7-1 record, tied with AEK.
However, in the official standings of the Greek league, Peristeri is currently on top with a 6-4 record and 16 points, followed by Lavrio at 6-3 (15 p.), while AEK and Panathinaikos have also 15 points each.
It was a historic win for Lavrio, a club that was born in 1990 and played in the top Greek division in 2015. This is their second big win of the season, after also beating AEK one week ago.
Chad Brown with 22 points and 12 rebounds stole the show for Messologi but his team was defeated by Promitheas (88-82). It was the last game of Brown with his Greek team, as he has a deal in place to continue his career in the German BBL with Giessen 46ers.
