A strong fourth quarter pushes AEK past Ionikos

Coming off two consecutive losses in Greece’s Basket League, AEK beat Ionikos, 81-74, Saturday. Matt Lojeski posted a game-high 21 points and Yanick Moreira a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double. The hosts launched a 19-5 run to start their fourth quarter and held on upping their domestic tally to 8-3. On the downside, Nikos Gkikas suffered an injury.

Promitheas after a midweek defeat went through another close game versus Lavrio this time prevailing, 90-88, improving to 7-4 and dropping the opponents to 8-4. Michalis Lountzis banked in the game-winner with six seconds left and Jerian Grant produced a game-high 26 points.

Kerem Kanter went for 22 points and also grabbed 11 rebounds with his latest solid showing propelling Kolossos to a big win, 80-65, over Peristeri.

Panathinaikos OPAP at 9-1 will be on the road Sunday taking on Larisa to complete Round 12.
