Panathinaikos Athens put on an offensive show in the last round of the Greek League regular season to get a 104 – 95 away win over AEK Athens. The Greens, that had already clinched the top seed, finished with 20 – 2.
Mario Hezonja scored 22 points while Ioannis Papapetrou had 17 points for the Nemanja Nedovic-less Panathinaikos. Ben Bentil added 14 points and George Papagiannis had 13 for the Oded Kattash’s team that scored 86 points already by the end of the third period to overpower their opponents by a margin of 16 points.
Daryl Macon led AEK with 19 points and Nikos Gkikas scored 14. Their team, that was without Keith Langford and Yanick Moreira, completed the regular season at 14 – 8 and the fourth spot in the standings.
With the completion of the regular season, the playoffs are set as follows:
