AEK was able to settle its financial dispute with some of its players and ultimately submitted the necessary file to apply for a license for the Greek Basket League 2021-22 season.
As it was reported Sunday, AEK had yet to present the necessary paperwork proving that all of the overdue payables have been covered, with the deadline expiring Tuesday, June 15.
In the meantime, Yannick Moreira and Moses Kingsley have agreed to the settlement proposed by the club and signed the paperwork, while the team hasn’t reached an agreement with Matt Lojeski and Keith Langford.
The Greek team tried to quickly resolve the issue ahead of the deadline and is now looking ahead to prepare its roster for the upcoming season, while it has already made an extension offer to Moreira, something that will also facilitate the existing financial issue between the two sides.
UPDATE: Yannick Moreira also denied reaching an agreement with AEK.
