A few months after being ready to move his talents to Kolossos H Hotels, former NBA point guard Ty Lawson has agreed again with the Greek club and will play in Greece’s Basket League this season.
Lawson, 33, was announced as a midseason transfer by Kolossos last January. However, visa issues prevented him from leaving China and completing the move.
He eventually managed to travel to Greece. He has been staying in shape preferring the state-of-the-art facilities of the Eurohoops Dome for recent workouts.
Prior to China’s CBA, Lawson played in 587 NBA games, including 435 with the Denver Nuggets. He added the remaining appearances attached to the Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, and Sacramento Kings.
During the 2011 NBA lockout, he introduced himself to Europe joining EuroLeague outlet Zalgiris Kaunas. Current Kolossos head coach Ilias Kantzouris was an assistant coach at the Lithuanian powerhouse.
Stefan Momirov will be among his new teammates. The young Serbian guard averaged 6.6 points per ABA League match with Mega Soccerbet last season. His addition was announced by his agent.
