Olympiacos never trailed en route to the win, 87-69, versus Kolossos H Hotels Sunday.
Kostas Sloukas poured a team-high 14 points in the Stoiximan Basket League Regular Season Round 13 affair. Hassan Martin and Thomas Walkup had 13 points each for the team guided by Giorgos Bartzokas. Giannoulis Larentzakis squeezed in the double-digit scoring pack with ten points to his name. On the losing end, Jordan Floyd got a game-high 21 points and Shonn Miller finished with 19 points.
Three days after losing to Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 22, Olympiacos generated a double-digit distance late in the first half. Following the break, the lead kept growing with the hosts unable to respond and being limited to 13 points in the third quarter. Twenty points separating the opponents in the bottom end of the fourth quarter marked the biggest lead.
Thanks to the comfortable win, the Reds improved to a league-high 10-1. Archrival Panathinaikos OPAP will match the 10-1 record if it defeats Iraklis tomorrow, Monday (24/1, 19:00 CET). As for Kolossos, the team coached by Ilias Kantzouris was forced down to 7-5 sitting fourth overall.
Sasha Vezenkov did not play in Rhodes due to a minor calf injury, while Shaquielle McKissic was sidelined with a thigh injury. Both are expected to be available to play against Crvena Zvezda at home Thursday. The Greek giant carries a 12-7 W-L tally, including 9-0 at SEF, ahead of the EuroLeague Regular Season Round 23 fixture.
