Six players scored in double figures as Olympiacos Piraeus crushed Promitheas Patras 116 – 73 in Game 1 of the Greek League semifinals. The 116 points mark the Reds’ highest-scoring performance in 2021-22 so far.
Tyler Dorsey led the way for Olympiacos with 18 points on 6-8 shots in 16:41 minutes. Shaq McKissic had 17 points in 17 minutes, Sasha Vezenkov produced 15 points plus seven rebounds, Kostas Papanikolaou had 12 points and Giannoulis Larentzakis dropped 11 points. Livio Jean-Charles finished with 10 points for Olympiacos that completely dominated the game after the first quarter and completed the match with 16-32 3-pointers.
19-year-old Giorgos Tanoulis scored a team-high 17 points for Promitheas. Nikos Gkikas had 15 points and Dimitris Agravanis scored 12. The Patras side was overwhelmed 29 – 13 in the second period as Olympiacos closed halftime up 53 – 32. The hosts kept pushing to go up even by 45 points (84 – 39) in the third quarter, as their opponents looked to already have Game 2 in mind.
