Olympiacos Piraeus put up a scoring feast to take down Promitheas 102-72 in Game 2 of the Greek Basket League semifinals and needs one more victory to reach the upcoming finals.
Like Game 1, Olympiacos took control in the second quarter to expand a double-digit lead and never looked back. Sasha Vezenkov was the leading scorer of the “Reds” with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds and Hassan Martin followed with 17 points and six rebounds.
Marcus Foster scored 19 points to lead Promitheas, while Dimitris Agravanis followed with 10 points and 4 rebounds against his former team.
Game 3 of the series will take place Saturday in Piraeus (June 4, 20:00 local time).
In the meantime, Larissa routed Panathinaikos in Game 2 to tie their semifinals series 1-1 and the two teams will face off in Game 3 at OAKA (June 3, 19:30 local time).
