After Panathinaikos‘ disappointing 69-63 away loss against Aris, Olympiacos managed to get the job done against Apollon Patras, by getting the blowout 61-87 away victory thanks to a big scoring contribution from Sasha Vezenkov, who closed with 20 points.

The Bulgarian star found a great passing partner in Thomas Walkup, as the former Zalgiris Kaunas point guard went close to a double-double with 7 points and 10 assists in under 17 minutes on the court. Newcomer Tarik Black added 13 points, while Alec Peters and Giannoulis Larentzakis combined for 20.

The home side couldn’t ever really leave a mark in the game, as they entered the fourth quarter down by 33 points. Sarantis Mastrogiannopoulos and Omar Calhoun combined for 21 points, but they weren’t enough.

Moustapha Fall, Kostas Papanikolaou and Isaiah Canaan were rested, but Joel Bolomboy got injured during the game. His condition is expected to be announced after further medical exams.
