Panathinaikos had no trouble against Lavrio at OAKA in Round 3 of the Greek Basket League, winning convincingly 111-75, after dominating for most of the match, especially in the third period, which the Greens won 30-9.
Kostas Antetokounmpo and Juancho Hernangomez led the winning side with 15 points each, while Marius Grigonis added 14 points. Kyle Guy finished with 13, while Lefteris Mantzoukas and Jerian Grant added 10 points each, with the American guard dishing out seven assists.
For Lavrio, DeJulius David put up a good effort with 24 points, while Marcus Thornton and Xavier Castaneda added 10 points each.
Panathinaikos is now tied at the top with Olympiacos and Promitheas, all of them boasting a perfect 3-0 start to the season, while Lavrio suffered its first defeat.
Next up for Ergin Ataman’s team is a EuroLeague Round 5 game against Baskonia at home. Following that, in the next round of the domestic championship, they will travel to the Peace and Friendship stadium for a third Greek derby of the season against Olympiacos.
