The two eternal rivals of Greek sports celebrated the last day of the year on the court by getting wins and continuing their dominance against domestic competition.
Olympiacos prevailed over Aris (85-71) with Giannoulis Larentzakis scoring 17 points, Thomas Walkup getting injured after six minutes of action, and the duo of Kostas Papanikolaou and Nigel Williams-Goss getting rested.
Panathinaikos on the other hand beat Marousi on the road (92-79) with Luca Vildoza scoring 19 points and Marius Grigonis adding 16.
There’s no update for the injury of Walkup, who had a birthday cake waiting for him in the locker room, while inactive Kyle Guy is expected to part ways with Panathinaikos.
